David's master's thesis, introducing a number of Monte Carlo methods for modelling polymer chains, among them configurational-bias Monte Carlo and the pruned-enriched Rosenbluth method. These are used to investigate the collapse of polymer chains around the theta point, and a flat-histogram variant is applied to polymers tethered to and lying close to an adsorbing surface.

Abstract
