# Research

I have several research interests in complementary fields, all of which lie at the intersection of applied mathematics, engineering, physics and high-performance computing.

- From a physical perspective, I am interested in
**fluid dynamics**problems that involve**transition to turbulence**, particularly where the fluid has qualities of both smooth laminar flows and chaotic turbulent regions. - These problems can be found in both canonical academic problems, such as
**pipes and channels**, as well as flows that are of interest to real-world applications, such as the aerospace and motorsport industries. - To achieve this I use
**high-performance computing**and develop**next-generational numerical methods**to get the most out of modern computing hardware.
