I have several research interests in complementary fields, all of which lie at the intersection of applied mathematics, engineering, physics and high-performance computing.

  • From a physical perspective, I am interested in fluid dynamics problems that involve transition to turbulence, particularly where the fluid has qualities of both smooth laminar flows and chaotic turbulent regions.
  • These problems can be found in both canonical academic problems, such as pipes and channels, as well as flows that are of interest to real-world **applications, such as the aerospace and motorsport industries.
  • To achieve this I use high-performance computing and develop next-generational numerical methods to get the most out of modern **computing hardware.
